Our Privacy Commitment

Effective as of September 1, 2025

The Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG) values your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our members, partners, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you interact with us through our website, events, and services.

If you have any questions about IIAG’s privacy practices, please refer to the end of this Policy for information on how to contact IIAG.

Information We Collect

Most of the data IIAG collects is used only to help IIAG better serve its members. It is our general policy to only collect and store personal information that our members and visitors knowingly and voluntarily provide.

IIAG does not collect any personal information from users browsing our website. We do not sell or disclose member data to third parties outside of IIAG and its affiliated programs, except as required by law or with express member consent.

Member Information Use Notice

When IIAG collects information from member agencies—whether through program applications, registrations, surveys, or other interactions—that information may be shared internally across IIAG departments and business units. We may use the data submitted not only for the original purpose of collection but also to help inform and enhance the full range of services, communications, and support we provide to our members.

All data is handled responsibly and in alignment with our commitment to member trust, relevance, and value.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising or retargeting beyond IIAG’s own communications.

Sharing Your Information

IIAG does not sell member data. However, we may share certain information in the following limited circumstances:

  • IIAG Partners in Progress and Preferred Vendors: We provide Partners in Progress and Preferred Vendors with member lists (upon request) that may include name, email, phone, agency name, and location. These lists are intended to help foster professional connections and support the value of partnership with IIAG.

    • Event Attendee Lists: When Partners in Progress exhibit at or attend an IIAG event, they may also receive an attendee list (upon request) for that specific event. These lists are intended to encourage engagement and networking. They may be used by partners to invite attendees to dinners, receptions, or follow-up communications.

    • We do not share member or attendee lists with anyone who is not an IIAG Member, Partner in Progress or Preferred Vendor. We do not share event attendee lists with non-attending IIAG Members or Partners.

  • Webinars: When you register for and attend an IIAG-hosted webinar, we may share your name and contact information with the webinar facilitator for program administration purposes. Facilitators are typically IIAG Partners in Progress or one of our trusted education partners. In some cases, such sharing is also required to process Continuing Education (CE) credits, as noted below.

  • Continuing Education (CE) Credits: When IIAG files CE credits on behalf of attendees, we are required to provide certain personal information (such as name, license number, and course details) to the Georgia Department of Insurance and its education affiliates in order to properly record your continuing education activity.

  • Children's Privacy: Data provided for children’s participation in IIAG Events such as Annual Convention (e.g., age, dietary needs) is only shared with IIAG staff and vetted childcare providers.

  • Donor Recognition: IIAG may publicly recognize individuals or organizations who contribute to association fundraising efforts, including but not limited to InsurPac, Georgia IPAC, and other industry initiatives. Such recognition may include publishing the donor’s name, organization, and contribution amount in IIAG communications, reports, or event materials. In addition, certain donor information must be disclosed as part of state-mandated reporting requirements for Georgia IPAC filings. IIAG will comply with all applicable legal reporting obligations when submitting donor information to state authorities. Donors who wish to remain anonymous may notify IIAG in writing at the time of their contribution.

Payment details are not stored or shared by IIAG beyond what is necessary to complete the transaction securely.
