EAGLE AGENCY
Eagle Agency is a Big "I" program created exclusively for members over 20 years ago. Over 500 agents have used the benefit of having a, or an additional, personal lines market in their office to quote. Eagle Agency is intended to be a conduit to a nationally recognized carrier by way of a sub-producing appointment.
Eagle Agency-Georgia Participating Carriers
Foremost, Safeco Insurance, Travelers
Eagle Agencies are vetted by the Company(s) and require a minimum of two or three (2 or 3) new accounts per month, depending on the carrier. Eagle Agency requests are reviewed and approved in-house by Eagle Agency personnel prior to submitting to the carrier for consideration. Eagle Agencies sell, service, manage and own their book of business.
How does Eagle Agency work?
Eagle Agency is a personal lines agency within Big I Markets but is accessed directly via the carrier's system(s). An Eagle Agency must commit to:
- Maintain current membership with their State Association
- Maintain Errors and Omissions coverage with a minimum limit of $1,000,000
- Producing organic new personal lines accounts each month with each Eagle carrier per the carrier's requirements below
- Produce preferred personal lines business within the carrier's online portal
- Service all policies within the carrier's online portal
Eagle Agency Graduation
Eagle Agency is designed to incubate member agencies until a profitable book of business is developed and eligible for a direct appointment with the carrier. Once a member has been an Eagle Agency for 2 years and has an in-force book of at least $300,000 the member may request to graduate into a direct appointment. Graduation is at the sole discretion of the carrier.
Appointments are subject to review and approval by Eagle Agency and the carrier. Carriers might not be available in every state or may have territorial limitations.

SAFECO MARKET ACCESS THROUGH GAMS
About The Safeco Market Access Program
Please Note: Safeco is currently not appointing new agents.
The Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, Inc., through its wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary, Georgia Agency Management Services, has entered into an agreement with Safeco to provide a way to allow our smaller member agencies to write multi-line personal lines insurance through Safeco without having to get a direct appointment. This is important for our members, as direct appointments required a higher threshold than most of our smaller members could achieve.
